Wine

Village Café has established a menu that includes items found in scant other restaurants in and around Louisiana, with certain mainstays offered year round to ensure that we have something that pleases every customer. Ours is a menu that provides traditional Louisiana influences with an upscale twist.

With this in mind, we have tried to generate a wine list with this same melding in mind, leaning toward a little more of the upscale twist. We provide our patrons with bottles most will recognize, while also leaving considerable room for more sophisticated upgrades. Built upon a strong base of California Cabernet Sauvignon, we have an array of wine to match our wide-ranging menu. Customers can choose between a good-quality, moderately-priced bottle of soft, buttery Chardonnay to accompany their Blackened Lemonfish Sandwich or a high-end bottle of Cabernet to complement their elk tenderloin.

From this idea of unification between opulence and unpretentiousness comes our philosophy on wine. We strive to provide a meritage of opportunities that will satisfy both ends of our large spectrum of customers — and everyone in-between.

Wines are offered by the glass, bottle and case (ask Executive Chef Jude or Ben about discounts that may be available on cases). Choose any one of our hundreds of bottles from the wine display to enjoy with your meal.
